Exam format
The SRCLE has 200 multiple-choice questions, each with four or five options and one best answer. Practice questions here use four options. It is given in two parts of 100 questions. Each part is 120 minutes, with a 30-minute break between them. Up to 10% of questions may be unscored pilot items that look the same as scored ones.
Content outline
| Section | Weight | Questions |
|---|---|---|
| Patient Data | 30% | 60 |
| Troubleshooting and Quality Control of Devices, and Infection Control | 20% | 40 |
| Initiation and Modification of Interventions | 50% | 100 |
Most questions are short clinical scenarios. Expect to read blood gases, ventilator settings and waveforms, and to choose the next action.
Scoring
The passing score is 542 on a 200-800 reporting scale. This is a scaled score, not the percentage of questions answered correctly.
Registration
Applications go through the SCFHS Mumaris+ system. Check your eligibility, the current exam periods and the fees in your application before booking. See the SCFHS page for the current steps.
How to use this practice bank
