Can I try Saudi Nursing License (SNLE) questions for free?
Yes. Free questions: a 10-question diagnostic test covering the main units, no sign-up; at the end you get your score and your weakest units. What language is the SCFHS nursing exam in?
The exam is in English. So the questions here are in English as in the exam, every option is explained in Arabic and English, and you can switch any question to its Arabic translation.
What is the SNLE pass mark?
The pass mark is 500 on a 200 to 800 scale, set by a panel of Saudi nurses and approved by the SCFHS Central Assessment Committee. It is a scaled score, not the percentage of correct answers.
Which sections does the exam cover?
Four sections: nursing fundamentals 20% (including physical assessment, pharmacology and basic sciences), adult nursing 40% (medical, surgical, critical care, community and mental health), maternal-child nursing 30% (maternity, gynecology, neonatal and pediatrics), and management and leadership 10%.
How many times can I retake the exam?
According to the applicant guide, you can sit the exam up to 4 times a year until you pass, but not twice in one window. Missing the test or arriving more than 30 minutes late counts as an attempt.
Is this the SCFHS website?
No. This is an independent practice website, not connected to the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties, Prometric or any government body. You register for the exam through SCFHS.
Is this an official site, and how do I pay?
It is an independent site, not part of Qiyas or any government body, and every question is reviewed before it is published. You pay once, with no automatic renewal, through Waffo Pancake (the merchant of record) by Visa, Mastercard, Apple Pay or Google Pay, and your statement shows "WAFFO". If you were charged twice or the pass did not open, email support@saudiexams.com.
Study material sample: Nursing Fundamentals
Summary
This unit covers about 40 of the 200 SNLE questions, or 20% of the score. It has four parts: Fundamentals of Nursing (basic care, infection control and safety), Physical Assessment, Pharmacology and Dosage Calculation, and Basic Sciences (anatomy, physiology, fluids, electrolytes and blood gases). These topics sit underneath the rest of the exam: isolation precautions, priority setting, normal values and infusion-rate maths show up inside medical, surgical and pediatric questions too. Memorize the normal values, and practice the calculations by hand before test day.
What the exam focuses on
- Isolation precautions (Standard, Airborne, Droplet, Contact): which disease goes with which type and the matching PPE.
- Order of donning and doffing PPE, and hand hygiene at the five moments.
- International Patient Safety Goals: two patient identifiers, high-alert medications, falls, correct-site surgery.
Show 5 more
- Examination sequence (inspection, palpation, percussion, auscultation), the abdomen exception, and heart and lung auscultation sites.
- Dosage calculation: dose by weight, infusion rate in mL/h and drops per minute.
- Rights of medication administration, antidotes for common drugs, and monitoring labs such as INR and aPTT.
- Normal electrolyte values (K, Na, Ca, Mg) and the clinical and ECG signs of too little or too much.
- Arterial blood gas (ABG) interpretation: acidosis or alkalosis, respiratory or metabolic, and whether compensation has occurred.
Common traps
- Airborne needs an N95 respirator and a negative-pressure room; Droplet needs a surgical mask and a private room. Do not mix them up.
- For C. difficile, wash hands with soap and water; alcohol rub does not kill spores.
- Doffing starts with gloves and ends with the mask; donning starts with the gown and ends with gloves.
Show 5 more
- In the abdominal exam, auscultate before percussion and palpation, because touching can change bowel sounds.
- Room or bed number is not a patient identifier. Acceptable pairs are, for example, full name plus record number or date of birth.
- Never give potassium chloride (KCl) by IV push; it must be diluted and infused slowly by pump.
- Forgetting unit conversion before calculating: grams to mg, pounds to kg (1 kg = 2.2 lb), minutes to hours.
- Reading an ABG from PaCO2 alone. Start with pH, then see which value (CO2 or HCO3) matches it.
