Frequently asked questions
What is the PMP exam, and can I take it in Arabic?
PMP is the Project Management Professional certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI). It tests your ability to lead projects with predictive, agile and hybrid approaches. Questions are written in English, and Arabic is one of PMI's language aids, so you read each question in English with its Arabic translation, according to the certification page on PMI's website. That is why every question here is written in English and Arabic, and you switch between them with one tap.
Can I try PMP questions for free?
Yes. Free questions: a 10-question diagnostic test covering the main units, no sign-up; at the end you get your score and your weakest units. The free practice test page lists the same questions with answers and an explanation for every option. The rest of the questions and the full mock exams come with a pass from SAR 26.
What makes this PMP question bank different?
Question bank: full mock exams of 180 questions in 240 minutes, like the real test with a result for every unit, plus 914 explained questions across 3 units, every option explained, a review of your mistakes, and two ways to practise: see the answer right away, or sit a full timed mock. Every question is reviewed and referenced, ready to practise on your phone. Try the free questions and read the explanations before buying full access.
How many questions are on the PMP exam and how long is it?
180 questions in 240 minutes: 170 are scored and 10 are unscored pretest questions that are not identified. There are two 10-minute breaks, the first after the case-study section and the second roughly midway through the independent questions, and you cannot go back to the previous section after a break, according to the 2026 Exam Content Outline.
What is the PMP pass mark?
PMI does not publish a numeric pass mark. Your result is pass or fail, with your performance in each of the three domains rated on four levels: Above Target, Target, Below Target and Needs Improvement, according to PMI's Certification Handbook. That is why the full mock exams here give you a score for each domain, so you can see which domain needs work before your date.
What changed in the PMP exam in July 2026?
A new content outline took effect on 9 July 2026: the domain weights are now 33% People, 41% Process and 26% Business Environment, previously 42%, 50% and 8%; the time rose to 240 minutes and 170 of the 180 questions are scored. Case-study and graphic-based questions were added, and topics such as sustainability, compliance and artificial intelligence now appear in the tasks. The questions on this site follow the new outline and its 26 tasks.
What do I need to apply for the PMP exam?
You need experience leading projects within the last 10 years that matches your education: 5 years with a secondary diploma, 4 years with a post-secondary diploma, 3 years with a bachelor's degree, or 2 years with a degree from a PMI GAC-accredited programme. You also need 35 hours of project management training, unless you hold an active CAPM. Overlapping months between two projects are not counted twice.
How many times can I retake the PMP exam?
You can sit the exam up to 3 times within your one-year eligibility period. If you do not pass in three attempts, you wait a full year from the last attempt before applying again. If the year ends before you pass, you must reapply, but without a waiting period.
Are the questions on this site taken from PMI or the PMBOK Guide?
No. We wrote every question ourselves against the tasks in the 2026 PMP Exam Content Outline and reviewed each one, and every question names the domain and task it tests. We do not copy text from the PMBOK Guide or PMI's official questions.
Is this site affiliated with PMI?
No. This is an independent website with no connection to the Project Management Institute (PMI). "PMI", "PMP" and "PMBOK" are registered marks of the Project Management Institute and are mentioned here only to identify the exam. You register and pay for the exam on PMI's website.
Is this an official site, and how do I pay?
It is an independent site, not part of Qiyas or any government body, and every question is reviewed before it is published. You pay once, with no automatic renewal, through Waffo Pancake (the merchant of record) by Visa, Mastercard, Apple Pay or Google Pay, and your statement shows "WAFFO". Summary
The People domain is 33% of the PMP exam, about 59 of the 180 questions. It has eight tasks: develop a common vision, manage conflicts, lead the project team, engage stakeholders, align stakeholder expectations, manage stakeholder expectations, help ensure knowledge transfer, and plan and manage communication. The questions are workplace scenes: a team disagrees on how to work, a sponsor wants a different report, a member breaks the ground rules. PMI expects the project manager to act as a leader, not a bystander: analyze the situation first, talk directly to the people involved, empower the team to solve its own problems, and escalate only when the issue exceeds your authority. In agile projects the right style usually leans toward servant leadership and removing impediments; in predictive projects it leans toward documented engagement and communication plans. About 60% of the exam is agile or hybrid, and this domain reflects that. Read each question as: what is the best next step right now?
What the exam focuses on
- Task 1: The shared vision is built with key stakeholders, promoted, and kept current; when it is misunderstood, find the root cause first.
- Task 2: Handle conflict by identifying the source, analyzing the context, then applying an agreed resolution strategy (collaborating or problem solving is the preferred mode).
- Task 2: Ground rules in the team charter are set with the team; a violation is first handled by a direct conversation with the person involved.
Show 7 more
- Task 3: Servant leadership and team empowerment: the project manager removes impediments and protects the team instead of dictating solutions.
- Task 3: Choose a leadership style that fits the situation and the team (directing, coaching, supporting, delegating) and make roles and responsibilities clear.
- Task 4: Identify and analyze stakeholders (power/interest, influence), tailor communication to their needs, and execute the stakeholder engagement plan.
- Task 5: Categorize stakeholders, identify their expectations, facilitate discussions to align them, and act on mentoring opportunities.
- Task 6: Monitor internal and external customer satisfaction and expectations and respond as needed, not wait until the end.
- Task 7: Tacit versus explicit knowledge: how each is gathered and transferred, and building an environment that encourages sharing.
- Task 8: Communication strategy, feedback loop, and reports tailored to the sponsor and stakeholders, supporting governance.
Common traps
- Picking "escalate to the sponsor" immediately. Escalation is not the first step; talk to the people involved and try to resolve within your authority, then escalate if it exceeds it.
- Making the decision for the team. In an agile or collaborative setting the self-organizing team decides; your role is to facilitate and remove impediments.
- Treating withdrawing, smoothing over, or forcing as the resolution. These are temporary or weak; the usual best answer is collaborating or problem solving so both sides reach a lasting solution.
Show 7 more
- Confusing a conflict with a problem. A conflict is a disagreement between people or goals, managed through dialogue; a problem is an obstacle to the work, solved through analysis and action.
- Treating all stakeholders the same. Analyze them (power and interest) and tailor communication to each group; high power and high interest means managing closely.
- Changing requirements or deliverables to please a stakeholder without routing the request through change control, or just saying "yes" to avoid friction.
- Assuming communication means formal reports only. Good communication includes interactive channels and a feedback loop, and the format adapts to the audience instead of sending one report to everyone.
- Mixing up tacit and explicit knowledge. Explicit knowledge is written down and shared in documents; tacit knowledge (experience, intuition) moves through coaching, shadowing, and discussion.
- When a member breaks ground rules, punishing publicly or ignoring it. The right move is a private conversation first to understand why, then a reminder of the agreed rules, and a review with the team if needed.
- Forgetting stakeholders who join or change their expectations after the start. Identifying and analyzing stakeholders is continuous, and the stakeholder register is updated throughout.

What is the first step when the shared vision is misunderstood?
Analyze the situation to find the root cause of the misunderstanding, then realign the stakeholders.
Which conflict resolution mode does PMP usually prefer?
Collaborating and problem solving, because it reaches a lasting solution that both sides accept.
When do you escalate a conflict?
After trying direct resolution between the parties, when it exceeds your authority or does not work.
What is the difference between a conflict and a problem?
A conflict is a disagreement between people or goals; a problem is an obstacle in the work solved by analysis and action.
What is servant leadership?
A style that focuses on serving the team, removing impediments, and developing people instead of giving orders.
What happens in Tuckman's storming stage?
Disagreement appears over roles and ways of working. It is normal and needs facilitation, not suppression.
What is a team charter?
A document the team writes with its values, ground rules, and decision-making approach.
How do you handle a stakeholder with high power and high interest?
Manage closely: continuous engagement, frequent communication, and involvement in decisions.
