The free practice test page lists the same questions with answers and an explanation for every option. The rest of the questions and the full mock exams come with a pass from SAR 26.

Every question is reviewed and referenced, ready to practise on your phone. Try the free questions and read the explanations before buying full access.
What is the pass mark?
The minimum for a license is 50 (Practitioner Teacher), then 70 for Advanced Teacher and 80 or above for Expert Teacher, under the Professional License Regulations (Article 4). The level uses the lower of your General Educational and subject-specific scores, together with your qualification and years of experience. Scoring is criterion-referenced and wrong answers carry no penalty.
What does the test cover?
It covers nine of the ten general educational standards across three domains: Values and Professional Responsibilities 21%, Professional Knowledge 40% and Professional Practice 39%. Standard 6 (knowledge of the subject content) is measured by the subject-specific test instead. The heaviest standard is Language and Quantitative Skills at 17%.
When is the next test?
ETEC's website lists the 1448 AH General Educational Test on 6 and 7 November 2026, with late registration open since 4 October 2026, so register early.
How long are the result and the license valid?
A test result stays valid for five calendar years from the date it is announced. The license itself is valid for five years, and you can apply to renew it in its final year.
Is the General Educational Test enough to get the license?
No. The Teachers' Professional License needs two tests: the General Educational Test, which is the same for every subject, and the subject-specific test in your own field. Each costs SAR 100.
Can graduates without an education degree sit the Teachers' Professional License test?
ETEC's test page (etec.gov.sa) is aimed at serving teachers and "those wishing to practise the teaching profession", and you do not need an education degree to register; the license itself, however, is only issued to people with "the appropriate qualification according to the requirements of the relevant bodies", under Article 4 of the Professional License Regulations. The FAQ on ETEC's page also says that students about to graduate and recent graduates "qualified to work in teaching jobs in the public and private sectors" can register. If your degree is not in education, check with the Ministry of Education or your employer that it qualifies you for a teaching job before you pay the SAR 100 test fee.
How do I pay the Teachers' Professional License test fee?
You pay the SAR 100 test fee online from your profile on ETEC's e-services portal (e-services.etec.gov.sa) after registering for a date, by bank card or credit card, according to the visual registration guide for the General Educational Test that ETEC published (2023). The General Educational Test and the subject-specific test are paid separately, SAR 100 each. Once you have paid, you can change or delete the booking up to 72 hours before the paper test.
How do I get the license issued after passing?
Once the results of both the General Educational Test and the subject-specific test are announced, you apply online to have your license issued at the level whose conditions you meet and pay SAR 100, and ETEC then issues it, under Articles 5 and 9 of the Professional License Regulations. You apply through the Professional Licenses platform that ETEC's page links to. If you issue the license within one calendar year of passing your latest test, it is valid for five years from the issue date; if you wait longer than a year, the five years run from the end of that year (Article 6).
Is my mock exam score an official result?
No. Scores on this site are for practice only and are not an official result. This site is independent and is not affiliated with ETEC, Qiyas or any government body. They do show where you'd stand if the test were today: the full mock exam has the real question count and time, and your score is split by part of the exam so you can see where you lose points.
Is this an official site, and how do I pay?
It is an independent site, not part of Qiyas or any government body, and every question is reviewed before it is published. You pay once, with no automatic renewal, through Waffo Pancake (the merchant of record) by Visa, Mastercard, Apple Pay or Google Pay, and your statement shows "WAFFO". If you were charged twice or the pass did not open, email support@saudiexams.com.
Study material sample: Islamic Values, Professional Ethics and National Identity
Summary
Standard 1 opens the domain «Professional Values and Responsibilities», which makes up 21% of the General Pedagogical Test. The standard itself weighs 8%, roughly 7 of the 88 questions. It measures whether the teacher models moderate Islamic values, represents national identity, respects other cultures, and follows professional ethics and educational regulations. It has three sub-standards: (1.1) moderate Islamic values: modelling in appearance and conduct, activities that promote moderation and tolerance and reject extremism, and a culture of dialogue; (1.2) national identity and cultural diversity: loyalty and belonging to the homeland and its leadership, pride in Saudi heritage, and conscious openness to other cultures; (1.3) professional ethics and regulations: applying rules such as the Student Behaviour and Attendance Rules, linking practice to the Teaching Profession Ethics Charter, and relationships based on rights and duties. Most questions are classroom scenarios asking for the best action.
What the exam focuses on
- The teacher is a role model in word and deed both inside and outside school; the role does not end when the school day ends (indicator 1.1.1).
- Moderation, tolerance and balance are taught through practice: treating everyone, Muslim or not, with respect and understanding students' feelings without embarrassing them (indicator 1.1.2).
- When students raise different or unusual ideas, the right response is to listen and discuss them calmly to build a culture of dialogue, not to silence or ignore them (indicator 1.1.3).
Show 5 more
- Belonging and pride in Saudi identity and heritage are built through planned learning activities, such as linking lessons to the Kingdom's history, symbols, heritage and the Arabic language (indicators 1.2.1 and 1.2.2).
- Conscious openness to other cultures: citing positive examples from them and designing activities and assignments that build respect for other cultures and viewpoints (indicator 1.2.3).
- The Student Behaviour and Attendance Rules (5th edition, 1447 AH): the teacher's role, the five degrees of behavioural problems, graduated procedures, and banned non-educational practices (indicator 1.3.1).
- The Teaching Profession Ethics Charter governs the teacher's relationship with the profession, students, colleagues, parents and society; one of its aims is to strengthen the teacher's academic and social standing (indicator 1.3.2).
- Handling abuse or neglect: inform the principal immediately and confidentially; these procedures are not graduated but follow the severity of the case (indicators 1.3.1 and 1.3.3).
Common traps
- Tolerance does not mean accepting undesirable behaviour or overlooking violations; it means gentleness, kindness and understanding others' feelings while still guiding and correcting.
- Working with a colleague of another faith: the moderate response is direct professional cooperation according to the task requirements, not avoiding them and not turning the work setting into something else.
- Openness to other cultures is neither unlimited openness without boundaries nor rejection; what is expected is conscious openness that takes what is useful while preserving core values and identity.
Show 5 more
- If a student admires another country, it is wrong to list its faults, scold the student or ignore them; the right move is to use the moment to build respect for others and acceptance of difference alongside pride in the homeland.
- Citizenship is not the same as patriotism: citizenship is the individual's relationship with the state, with its rights and duties; patriotism is the feeling of love and belonging to the homeland.
- The student counsellor does not record behaviour marks or carry out disciplinary procedures; their role comes afterwards: studying and treating the case. Deducting marks is the school administration's job.
- Sending a student out of class, making them copy homework many times as punishment, mocking them, or denying them their break-time meal are all banned non-educational practices, even if they look like a quick fix.
- Not wearing the school uniform is a first-degree problem in primary school but a third-degree problem in intermediate and secondary school, referred to the school administration; check the school stage in the question.
