In short: your General Educational Test result appears in your profile on ETEC's e-services portal, and results of the 6–7 November 2026 round are expected in early December 2026. The score is a percentage out of 100, 50 is the lowest score a license can be based on, and your level uses the lower of your General Educational and subject-specific scores together with your qualification and years of experience.
When do the 1448 AH General Educational Test results come out?
Results of the 6–7 November 2026 round are expected in early December 2026: the General Educational Test is paper-only, and ETEC's General Aptitude Test page says its paper test results appear "about a month after the test".
Where to check your result
ETEC offers an online service called "Inquiry about professional license test results". Its published steps are:
- Sign in to ETEC's e-services portal through the National Single Sign-On (Nafath), or with your national ID or iqama number and password.
- Under "Services", choose "View service" on the Teachers' Professional Licenses card, then "Service details" on the card for inquiring about professional license test results.
- Press "Start service" and your test results are shown.
The visual registration guide for the General Educational Test shows viewing your result and its details with screenshots. We have not used the portal ourselves because it needs a login.
How your score is calculated
Scoring is criterion-referenced: score = correct answers ÷ number of questions × 100, with no penalty for wrong answers. The test has 88 questions, so the cut-off scores correspond to:
| Score | What it means | Correct answers out of 88 |
|---|---|---|
| Below 50 | Not enough for a license | 43 or fewer |
| 50 to 69 | Practitioner threshold | 44 or more |
| 70 to 79 | Advanced threshold | 62 or more |
| 80 or above | Expert threshold | 71 or more |
The "Test content" section of ETEC's page gives 60 for the Advanced threshold, while another section of the same page and the Professional License Regulations (Article 4) give 70, so we use 70.
Your level: the lower score, your qualification and your experience
Your General Educational score alone does not set your level. Article 4 of the Regulations reads the level from "the minimum score required in both tests" together with your qualification and years of experience, using this table:
| Qualification | Years of experience | Lower score 50 to 69 | 70 to 79 | 80 or above |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Diploma | Not required | Teacher | Teacher | Teacher |
| Bachelor's | Under 6 years | Practitioner | Practitioner | Practitioner |
| Bachelor's | 6 to under 11 years | Practitioner | Advanced | Advanced |
| Bachelor's | 11 years or more | Practitioner | Advanced | Expert |
| Master's | Under 5 years | Practitioner | Practitioner | Practitioner |
| Master's | 5 to under 9 years | Practitioner | Advanced | Advanced |
| Master's | 9 years or more | Practitioner | Advanced | Expert |
| Doctorate | Under 4 years | Practitioner | Practitioner | Practitioner |
| Doctorate | 4 to under 7 years | Practitioner | Advanced | Advanced |
| Doctorate | 7 years or more | Practitioner | Advanced | Expert |
Example: a teacher with a bachelor's degree and 8 years of experience scores 74 on the General Educational Test and 66 on the subject test. The lower score is 66, so the level is Practitioner even though the General Educational score reaches the Advanced threshold. Raising the subject score to 70 or more would make it Advanced, and Expert is out of reach before 11 years of experience however high the scores.
If the qualification, subject or years of experience in your profile are wrong, ETEC has an "Update professional data" service on the same card, and an "Inquiry about professional data" service to see what it holds before you apply for the license.
After your result appears
- The license is not issued automatically. You request it through the "Issue professional license" service: you select your General and subject test results, then the license you qualify for, and pay SAR 100. If you issue it within one calendar year of passing your latest test, it is valid for five years from the issue date (Article 6). Details are in the registration and issuing guide.
- Your result is valid for five calendar years from its announcement, so you can combine it with a subject test result that comes later.
- Appeals: Article 12 of the Regulations lets any candidate appeal to ETEC within sixty days of the decision being placed in their online profile.
- If you did not pass or want a higher level: ETEC's date table has a registration window for candidates who did not pass in later rounds, and the "Upgrade professional license" service costs SAR 100 once you meet the conditions of the higher level (Article 8). What to do before and on the day is in the test day and retakes guide.
Remember that your score in the practice test on this site or in the full timed mock exams is only an estimate of readiness, not an official result.
