In short: the General Educational Test of the Teachers' Professional License for the 1448 AH round is on Friday and Saturday, 6 and 7 November 2026, and late registration has been open since 4 October 2026. The subject-specific test runs from 18 to 31 October 2026.
General Educational Test dates (November 2026)
ETEC splits candidates into three groups, each with its own registration opening day for men and for women; the test date and the start of late registration are the same for everyone:
| Group (as ETEC names it) | Registration opens (men) | Registration opens (women) | Late registration from | Test date |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Teachers currently in service | 3 August 2026 | 10 August 2026 | 4 October 2026 | 6–7 November 2026 |
| Candidates who did not pass the General Educational Test | 5 August 2026 | 12 August 2026 | 4 October 2026 | 6–7 November 2026 |
| Everyone | 9 August 2026 | 16 August 2026 | 4 October 2026 | 6–7 November 2026 |
ETEC's table has a typo in the row for candidates who did not pass: the women's opening date reads "12/08/2025". It means 2026, since the rest of the table is for the 2026 round.
The subject-specific test
The license is only issued once you pass both tests, and in this round the subject-specific test comes before the General Educational Test:
| Item | Date |
|---|---|
| Subject-specific test | 18 to 31 October 2026 |
| Registration opens (teachers in service) | 3 August 2026 for men, 10 August 2026 for women |
| Registration opens (did not pass the subject test) | 5 August 2026 for men, 12 August 2026 for women |
| Registration opens (everyone) | 9 August 2026 for men, 16 August 2026 for women |
| Late registration from | 27 September 2026 |
Registering and paying
The fee is SAR 100 per test. After paying you can change or delete your booking up to 72 hours before a paper test, and an unpaid test is deleted from your profile automatically. So register early and do not leave payment to the last day.
How many days are left?
From 20 October 2026 to 6 November 2026 is seventeen days. If you are reading this in late October you have less than three weeks, which is enough for focused revision if you start with the standards that carry the most weight. We set that out day by day in the General Educational Test study plan by days remaining, and you can start now with the free questions in the practice test to see where you stand.
If you do not pass
ETEC's date table has a separate row for candidates who did not pass the General Educational Test, so anyone who fails a round can register for later ones.
