How We Write and Review Our Content
What we do before we publish a question or a fact about an exam, what we do not do, and how you can correct us if you find a mistake.
Where the questions come from
Each exam has two kinds of question, and every question shows its kind:
- "Past exam questions" were recalled by earlier test takers and shared after they sat the exam. We only use this label when a question's sources show it came from a past sitting. These questions were not issued or approved by the exam body, and we may reword them to match the rules in force.
- "Practice questions" follow the exam's format. We write them, or rework practice questions in circulation, and base each one on the published exam content: the laws and regulations, the exam body's guides and the official standards documents.
Summaries, flashcards and study guides are written from the same official sources, and every guide lists those sources at the end.
How we review every question
We review every question before it is published, not a sample, and no question goes live before its review is complete. The review has these steps:
- Checked against the official text: we read the answer in the source itself (the article number in the law or regulation, the page in the exam body's guide, or the standard in the standards document) and print that reference under the question.
- Two independent solves without the answer: every text question is solved twice without seeing the agreed answer, once in Arabic and once in English. Any question where either solve differs from the agreed answer, or that caused hesitation, is checked again against the official text.
- Recalculation: every calculation is redone, and ordering and reasoning questions are checked to have exactly one answer.
- Rules in force: when an article is amended or a new law is issued, the question is rewritten on the text in force; when two official documents disagree, the law comes first, then the regulation, then the guides.
- An explanation for every option: we explain why the right answer is right and why each other option is wrong, and we fix any question that could have more than one answer.
- Both languages: the Arabic and English versions of each question are checked to say the same thing, using the Arabic terms found in the official sources.
We do not rest an answer on anyone's opinion but on the text of the law or the official guide, which is why the reference is printed under every question so you can check it yourself.
The number of questions published after review is shown on each exam's page, under "Content transparency".
The review in numbers
Counted from the question bank itself every time the site is updated:
- 61 published exams
- 33,830 published questions, every one reviewed and given its source
- 8,114 questions we changed during review before publishing them: the answer, the wording or the explanation
- 3,180 "past exam questions"; the other 30,650 are "practice questions"
Questions we deleted during review (duplicates, or ones the source does not support) are not included in these numbers.
Where our exam information comes from
Fees, dates, number of questions, time and pass marks come from the exam body's official website or published documents, and next to each one we show the source link and the date we last checked it.
When the official source does not say something (such as whether calculators are allowed, or when results come out) we say so plainly rather than guess. If we infer something from another official page, or pass it on from a news report, we say so in the same place.
How often we re-check
- Exam information: re-checked against the official website at least every three months, and whenever the exam body makes a new announcement.
- Study guides: each guide shows its last-updated date at the top, and we update it when the information it explains changes.
- Questions: a question is reviewed again when someone reports it, and when the rule it rests on changes.
Found a mistake?
In the practice area there is a "Report an error" button under every question. The report reaches us with the question number; we check it against the source, then correct the question or remove it. You can also email us at support@saudiexams.com.
If you hold rights to any content published here and want it removed, email the same address and we will remove it.
What we do not do
- We do not call any question "official", and we do not publish anything presented as leaked questions from an upcoming exam.
- We do not promise that you will pass or publish "pass rates"; your score on our mock exams is an estimate of readiness, not an official result.
- We do not publish any other organisation's logo or watermark; figures that carry such marks are redrawn.
- We are not affiliated with any government body or exam body, and we cannot register you for any exam.
