The examination has 200 questions, with up to 10% additional pilot items. Two 120-minute parts are separated by a 30-minute break. The examination is in English. The pass score of 500 on a 200–800 scale is not a practice percentage.
Study priorities
Begin with epidemiology and public health fundamentals, each weighted at 20%. Allocate time to environmental and occupational health, health policy and management and economics, and social and behavioral sciences with communication and health promotion, each weighted at 15%. Biostatistics is 10% and biological and life sciences 5%.
Review method
Identify the study design and denominator before calculating a rate. Check the policy version and responsible authority in policy questions. Keep a record of errors in reasoning, terminology and arithmetic. Practise reading scenarios in English, even when reviewing Arabic explanations. This independent website does not provide official examination scores or registration.
