The Saudi Clinical Nutrition Licensure Examination (SCNLE) assesses clinical nutrition specialists’ readiness to practise. It is distinct from the Clinical Nutrition Diploma final examination. Check eligibility and booking options with the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties.
Format and timing
The applicant guide currently linked by SCFHS specifies 200 single-best-answer questions, with up to 10% additional pilot questions possible. The examination is in English with four options per question. There are two 120-minute parts and a scheduled 30-minute break.
Content domains
The official weights are 20% nutrition fundamentals, 60% nutrition care for individuals and groups, 10% management of food and nutrition programs and services, and 10% food service systems. Each domain may vary by ±5%.
Scores and practice
The passing score is 542 on the 200–800 reporting scale. This scaled score cannot be converted into a practice percentage. Use errors to identify topics for revision and practise reading cases in English and selecting suitable nutrition interventions.
