This bank trains Academic Reading with short English passages. It does not simulate the full test. Use an official practice session to experience the full reading load and the other task types.
Read and check evidence
Before answering, label each paragraph with a short purpose. Locate evidence for a detail question, then compare every option. Record whether a mistake came from an unsupported inference, a missed condition or confusion about the writer’s view. Read the English first; use Arabic explanations after answering.
Listening practice
Use the linked official Listening practice materials on their own website. Preview the questions, listen once and answer in order. Check the transcript afterwards. Note whether you missed a correction, a contrast or a paraphrase. For completion tasks, follow the stated word limit and check spelling. This bank does not currently provide audio questions.
Writing prompts
Task 1 practice: imagine a university library with the following annual visits: 2020, 80,000; 2021, 60,000; 2022, 95,000; 2023, 110,000. Write an overview and compare the figures. These are invented practice data. Describe what they show without inventing reasons.
Task 2 practice: Some cities invest in large cultural venues, while others fund small neighbourhood activities. Discuss both approaches and give your own view. Develop reasons and examples instead of listing opinions.
Review task coverage, organisation, vocabulary and grammatical control. A checklist helps revision; it does not assign a valid IELTS band. Ask a qualified teacher for feedback on the actual response.
Speaking prompts
Part 1 practice: describe where you usually study and explain why it suits you. Part 2 practice: describe a useful skill you learned outside school, how you learned it and why it matters. Prepare briefly, then record an extended response. Part 3 practice: discuss whether public institutions should fund lifelong learning and who benefits.
Listen to your recording for organisation, sustained speech, appropriate vocabulary, grammar and intelligibility. Self-review and automated transcripts cannot establish a reliable band score. These prompts are practice material, not predictions of future test questions.
Scores and booking
IELTS reports band scores. Institutions set their own entry requirements. Our practice percentage is not a band estimate. Before booking, confirm Academic versus General Training, any UKVI requirement, the accepted identification and the fee for your selected appointment.
