Try 10 free questions and see your levelLast verified: 31 October 2026. The weights come from ETEC's candidate guide for the Physics test, and the past-question counts from our question bank. This is an independent guide, not affiliated with ETEC, the National Center for Assessment (Qiyas), the Ministry of Education or any government body.
In short: the question bank has 129 past questions for the Physics teacher license test, 37 of them from the 1446 AH recall set, each reviewed and explained option by option. But the recall sets are not spread across the domains the way the test is, so use them to learn the question style, and spread your study across the eight domains by their weights in ETEC's guide.
What recall sets (tajmi'at) are
Recall sets are questions that candidates remember after leaving the test and pass around in files and channels. So the wording sometimes arrives incomplete, figures get lost and wrong answers spread. Before we put any of them in the bank, we check the answer, rewrite the stem if it allows more than one answer, and explain every option along with the ETEC standard it tests. In the bank these questions are labelled "Past exam questions".
How many past questions in each domain
The first column is the domain's weight in ETEC's guide, the second is how many past questions we have in that domain and their share of the 129.
| Domain | Weight in the test | Our past questions |
|---|---|---|
| Nature and history of physics | 6% | 30 (23%) |
| Experiments and maths skills | 6% | 12 (9%) |
| Mechanics and fluids | 22% | 32 (25%) |
| Heat and properties of matter | 10% | 13 (10%) |
| Electricity and magnetism | 22% | 8 (6%) |
| Waves and light | 12% | 11 (9%) |
| Modern and nuclear physics | 14% | 18 (14%) |
| Teaching physics | 8% | 5 (4%) |
What the recall sets miss
The physics recall sets are the furthest from the test weights. The nature and history of physics has 30 of the 129 (23%), while its weight in the test is only 6%, because questions on scientists and definitions are easier to remember than problems. On the other side, electricity and magnetism weighs 22%, the same as mechanics, and has only 8 questions (6%) in the recall sets.
So if you study from the recall sets alone, you will know the history of Ibn al-Haytham and Newton and walk in without having solved circuit, Ohm's law and magnetic field problems without a calculator. We reviewed 189 recalled questions that were not yet in our bank, wrote 117 of them and dropped 72: questions that need a figure nobody kept, questions with more than one correct answer, questions whose circulating answer is wrong, and duplicates.
How to practise with them
- Start with the free questions (10 questions spread over the domains by weight) to find your weakest domain before you open any file.
- Start with electricity and magnetism and mechanics (44% of the test together), and do not spend more on the history of physics than its weight. The eight-week plan and the standards and weights table are built on ETEC's guide.
- Solve the past questions inside each unit together with its other questions, not on their own, so you do not get used only to the domains people remember most.
- Keep the full mock exam for the last two weeks; it is spread over the domains by weight, like the test.
Remember that your license level is set by the lower of this test and the General Educational test. Related tests on this site: Science 2, Mathematics 2, the General Educational test.
Your score on our questions is an estimate of readiness, not an official result. If the free questions show a weakness in a domain the recall sets barely cover, that is the domain to start with.
