The fee and the registration steps come from the national gifted identification program service page on the Mawhiba website and the dates from the 17th-year timeline. They may change, so check before you register. This is an independent guide, not affiliated with the Mawhiba foundation, the Education and Training Evaluation Commission or any government body, and we do not register students for anyone. Registration is done on the Sadeed platform only.
This guide explains how to register your child for Level 1 of the Mawhiba Multiple Mental Abilities Test (grades 3, 4 and 5, primary), and what to watch before you press pay. A student gets one attempt only at this level, so a registration mistake is costly. For what the test covers and example questions, see the syllabus guide, and for preparation by days left, see the study plan guide.

Registration steps
- Sign in to the Sadeed platform (sadeed.etec.gov.sa) or create an account, and confirm the profile details.
- Choose the "Mawhiba Multiple Mental Abilities Test" from the list of available tests.
- Pick a test centre and date. The test is computer-based at test centres.
- Choose the test language at registration: Arabic or English.
- Accept the terms and conditions, then pay the fee if the nomination is self-nomination.
You register with the student's ID number (civil registry or iqama card) and date of birth as recorded on the ID, according to the Sadeed registration guide. Mawhiba states that the student is fully responsible for the accuracy of the data entered and bears any consequences, so check the student's civil registry number and date of birth before you press confirm.
Self-nomination and supported nomination
A student is nominated in one of two ways: the parent nominates them (self-nomination), or the school nominates them through the gifted students' teacher (supported nomination). The difference is in the fee:
- Self-nomination: SAR 200.
- Supported nomination: no fee. But being told by the teacher that your child is nominated is not enough: you must register them on the Qiyas site through Sadeed, confirm attendance and choose the centre, date and time of the test. If the nomination period passes without confirmation, the registration is cancelled.
Register your child in their actual grade
Level 1 is for grades 3, 4 and 5 (primary), Level 2 for grade 6 (primary) and grades 7 and 8 (intermediate), and Level 3 for grade 9 (intermediate) and grade 10 (secondary). If your child is in grade 5, for example, you must not register them at Level 2 to try it out. Under the program's policy, sitting the test in a grade other than the actual grade cancels the score, and the student bears the responsibility. Changing the test language does not change this rule.
One attempt per level
A student can sit the test only once per level. Some parents think they can resit the following year in another language. Mawhiba says the right is one per level, whatever the test language. If you registered and the student did not attend, they can register next year as long as they are still in the target grades. If they sat the test and did not reach the score needed, they can sit the next level or take part in Mawhiba's competitions, but they cannot repeat Level 1.
So choose the date when your child is ready, not the earliest available one. With weeks left until 30 December, you can take your time to practise. A day-by-day plan is in the study plan guide.
After registering
- The score: appears in the student's record on the Mawhiba website when results are announced.
- The range: 1000 to 2000, with no pass mark. Each program sets its own qualifying score on its page on the Mawhiba website.
- Validity: the score stays valid until the student moves up to a new level of the test.
Common mistakes before paying
- Registering the student at a level that does not match their grade.
- Choosing the test language without asking the child: pick the language they study in and read fluently, since the test is offered in Arabic and English.
- Thinking supported nomination means it is all done: you must confirm attendance and choose the centre and date.
- Waiting until the end of the period: with the first phase over, seats are now first come, first served.
- Forgetting to log in and check the details before test day.
Who can register and what comes after the score
The test targets students in government, private and international schools and in Saudi schools abroad, in all cities of the Kingdom including villages and rural settlements. After the score is announced, the student is directed to the programs they qualify for according to the score, including Mawhiba's enrichment programs and Mawhiba classes, as well as Ministry of Education programs and partner programs. A student can be accepted into more than one program at the same time as long as the program dates do not clash, and can choose what suits them among the available programs if they meet that program's registration conditions.
Prepare your child once you have registered
Once the date is fixed, start with the 10 free questions on the Level 1 page. They need no sign-up and give you your child's score in each of the four domains. Then practise the weakest domain, and two or three days before the test try a full mock exam of 64 questions in 103 minutes (paid content).
