Try 10 free questions and see your levelLast verified: 31 October 2026. The weights come from ETEC's candidate guide for the Islamic Education 2 test, and the past-question counts from our question bank. This is an independent guide, not affiliated with ETEC, the National Center for Assessment (Qiyas), the Ministry of Education or any government body.
In short: the question bank has 31 past questions for the Islamic Education 2 teacher license test, all from the 1447 AH recall sets, each reviewed and explained option by option. But the recall sets are not spread across the domains the way the test is, so use them to learn the question style, and spread your study across the eight domains by their weights in ETEC's guide.
What recall sets (tajmi'at) are
Recall sets are questions that candidates remember after leaving the test and pass around in files and channels. So the wording sometimes arrives incomplete, figures get lost and wrong answers spread. Before we put any of them in the bank, we check the answer, rewrite the stem if it allows more than one answer, and explain every option along with the ETEC standard it tests. In the bank these questions are labelled "Past exam questions".
How many past questions in each domain
The first column is the domain's weight in ETEC's guide, the second is how many past questions we have in that domain and their share of the total.
| Domain | Weight in the test | Our past questions |
|---|---|---|
| Qur'an and Tafsir | 16% | 5 (16%) |
| Hadith and its Sciences | 8% | 3 (10%) |
| Creed and Sects | 15% | 7 (23%) |
| Fiqh of Worship | 16% | 7 (23%) |
| Fiqh of Transactions, Family and Criminal Law | 21% | 4 (13%) |
| Usul al-Fiqh and Legal Maxims | 9% | 3 (10%) |
| Islamic Culture and Shari'a Etiquette | 8% | 1 (3%) |
| Teaching Shari'a Sciences | 7% | 1 (3%) |
Why the recall sets are not enough on their own
People who recall questions after the test mostly remember what stood out or looked unusual, so the recall sets do not follow the test's own spread. Compare the two columns in the table: a domain with a large weight and few past questions is one you need to study from the guide, the standards and the rest of the question bank. Fiqh in its three branches is 46% of the test by the guide's table, so do not skip any branch because the recall sets mention it rarely.
How to practise with them
- Start with the free questions (10 questions spread over the domains) to find your weakest domain before you open any file.
- Start with transactions, family and criminal law because it is the largest domain (21%), then the Qur'an and tafsir, the fiqh of worship and creed. The eight-week plan and the standards and weights table are built on ETEC's guide.
- Solve the past questions inside each unit together with its other questions, not on their own, so you do not get used only to the domains people remember most.
- Keep the full mock exam for the last two weeks; it is spread over the domains by weight, like the test.
Remember that your license level is set by the lower of this test and the General Educational test. Related tests on this site: the General Educational test.
Your score on our questions is an estimate of readiness, not an official result. If the free questions show a weakness in a domain the recall sets barely cover, that is the domain to start with.
