Last verified: 1 November 2026. The weights are from the candidate guide for Administrative Sciences teachers (pp. 6–7) and the standards from the Administrative Sciences teacher standards document. This guide is independent: it is not affiliated with ETEC, Qiyas (the National Center for Assessment), the Ministry of Education or any government body.

In short: a six-week plan that splits your time by the weights of the six domains: two weeks for economics (22.7%), one for marketing (21.3%) together with teaching methods (9.3%), one for accounting (17.3%) and financial management (13.3%), management (16.1%) in week 1 with the diagnosis, and a last week of full mock exams. The next sitting is expected in late January 2027, so if you have longer, stretch each week to two (dates).

Marketing21.3%16Week 4
Accounting17.3%13Week 5
Management16.1%12Week 1

Teaching methods for administrative sciences9.3%7Week 4 (with marketing), plus a short session each week

Economics and marketing are 33 questions out of 75, and they get the most of your time. Accounting and financial management are 23 questions in one week because the second builds on the statements of the first, so start accounting at the beginning of the week and keep the end for financial ratios. Teaching methods are only seven questions, and a short session each week covers them. If you are already strong in a domain from your work, shorten its time and add it to your weakest after the week 1 diagnosis.

Rules for every week

  • Arithmetic without a calculator: the test bans it. Practise from the start with pen and paper on price elasticity (percentage change in quantity ÷ percentage change in price), the accounting equation (assets = liabilities + equity), the income statement, financial ratios and payback period (initial investment ÷ annual cash flow).
  • Read the standard, then solve: each standard has indicators in the test content, and each question measures one indicator. Begin every topic with its indicators, then solve its questions in practice mode.
  • Read the explanation of every option: a wrong option shows the common confusion, such as marketing versus selling or inflation versus unemployment. Note what you got wrong.
  • Read all the options in full: options in concept questions are closely worded, so read each to the end before choosing.
  • Teaching-methods session: twenty minutes a week on case study, role play, project-based learning and simulation, and when each method fits.
  • Review your mistakes: redo last week's wrong answers on the first day of the week.
  • End of every week: practice on that week's topics.

Week 1: Diagnosis and management

  • Day one: the free questions (10 questions) to see where you stand in the six domains, and note your two weakest.
  • 6.29.1: the concept, goals and fields of management, administrative leadership and its theories, total quality management, and entrepreneurship and how an entrepreneurial project differs from a traditional one.
  • 6.29.2 (weight 10.8%, eight questions): planning, organising, control and directing, leadership styles and how a leader differs from a manager, communication, the production and human-resources functions, and the steps of strategic planning.
  • End of the week: practice on the whole domain (12 of the 75 questions).

Week 2: Economics (1)

  • 6.29.3 (weight 9.3%, seven questions): the concept and branches of economics, the economic problem and economic systems, supply and demand with their laws and determinants, the types of elasticity, market types and equilibrium, and the Saudi labour market.
  • Calculate elasticity on paper with different numbers until the steps stick, since the guide itself includes an elasticity question between two points.
  • End of the week: practice on all of 6.29.3, then go over your calculation errors.

Week 3: Economics (2)

  • 6.29.4: gross national product and national income and how they are calculated, unemployment and inflation (causes, effects, remedies), and fiscal and monetary policy.
  • 6.29.5: international trade, its causes, advantages and drawbacks, absolute and comparative advantage, the balance of payments, and the WTO, IMF, World Bank and GCC.
  • End of the week: practice on all of economics (6.29.3 to 6.29.5, 17 of the 75 questions), then go over the mistakes of both weeks.

Week 4: Marketing and teaching methods

  • 6.29.9 (weight 9.3%, seven questions): the concept of marketing and how it differs from selling, the marketing mix, goods and services, types of demand, the product life cycle and new-product development, and promotion.
  • 6.29.10: consumer behaviour, segmentation and target markets, pricing and its methods, distribution and its channels, and the factors that shape the purchase decision.
  • 6.29.11: successful local and international marketing examples, and the role of technology and e-marketing. Its weight is only 4%, so a day is enough.
  • 6.29.15 and 6.29.16 (seven questions): individual differences and learning styles, designing an environment that builds managerial skills, case study, role play, project-based learning and simulation, and using technology in teaching.
  • End of the week: practice on all of marketing (16 of the 75 questions), then on teaching methods (7 questions).

Week 5: Accounting and financial management

  • 6.29.6: the concept and branches of accounting, quality characteristics of information and its users, and accounting assumptions and principles.
  • 6.29.7: classifying accounts and their debit or credit nature, the accounting equation and how transactions affect it, the journal and ledger, journal entries, posting and the trial balance. Write entries on paper until they become automatic.
  • 6.29.8: the income statement and the statement of financial position: their components and how they are prepared.
  • 6.29.12 to 6.29.14 (ten questions): financial management concepts, financial ratios and how to read them, comparing investment and financing decisions, return and risk, sources of capital and its cost, and payback period, net present value and internal rate of return.
  • End of the week: practice on accounting (13 of the 75 questions), then on financial management (10 questions).

Week 6: Full mock exams

  • First full mock exam (75 questions in 120 minutes) early in the week, with no phone and no calculator. Compare its result with your week 1 diagnosis, domain by domain.
  • Review its mistakes and go back to your two weakest domains. Start with economics or marketing if either is among them, since they are 33 of the 75 questions.
  • Second full mock exam two days before the test, then a light review. Do not start a new topic on the last day.
  • Test day: check the ID you need and what is allowed, sleep early and arrive early.

If you have less time

If fewer than six weeks remain, start with the diagnosis and then compress the plan in this order: economics first, then marketing, accounting, management, financial management and teaching methods. Keep the last three days for two full mock exams and reviewing their mistakes.

This plan is our suggestion for organising your time and does not guarantee any score, and a mock-exam result is an estimate of your readiness, not an official result. Start from unit practice with economics (22.7%) and marketing (21.3%), and leave the full mock exam for the end of the plan.
