Last verified: 31 October 2026. The weights come from ETEC's candidate guide for Geography teachers, and the past-question counts from our question bank. This is an independent guide, not affiliated with ETEC, the National Center for Assessment (Qiyas), the Ministry of Education or any government body.

In short: the question bank has 35 past questions for the Geography teacher license test, all from the 1446 AH recall sets, each reviewed and explained option by option. But the recall sets are not spread across the domains the way the test is, so use them to learn the question style, and spread your study across the six domains by their weights in ETEC's guide.

What recall sets (tajmi'at) are

Recall sets are questions that candidates remember after leaving the test and pass around in files and channels. So the wording sometimes arrives incomplete, maps and figures get lost and wrong answers spread. Before we put any of them in the bank, we check the answer, rewrite the stem if it allows more than one answer, and explain every option along with the ETEC standard it tests. In the bank these questions are labelled "Past exam questions".

How many past questions in each domain

The first column is the domain's weight in ETEC's guide, the second is how many past questions we have in that domain and their share of the 35.

What the recall sets miss

Our recall sets come from a single year (1446 AH), so the sample is small, and it differs from the test at both ends. Skills, methods, teaching and learning resources has only 2 of the 35 (6%) against a test weight of 23%, the largest domain in the test. Anyone who relies on recall sets alone leaves nearly a quarter of the test untrained: teaching methods, learning resources and geographic research methods.

At the other end, physical geography has 11 (31%) against a weight of 21%, and cartography and geographic information technology has 6 (17%) against 10%, because questions on climate regions, maps and coordinates are easy to remember. Geographic theory and its development has one (3%) against a weight of 4%, so do not skip it because it is small.

How to practise with them

  1. Start with the free questions (20 questions spread over the domains by weight) to find your weakest domain before you open any file.
  2. Start with skills, methods, teaching and learning resources: it is the largest domain and the one the recall sets cover least. The eight-week plan and the standards and weights table are built on ETEC's guide.
  3. Solve the past questions inside each unit together with its other questions, not on their own, so you do not get used only to the domains people remember most.
  4. Keep the full mock exam for the last two weeks; it is spread over the domains by weight, like the test.

Remember that your license level is set by the lower of this test and the General Educational test. A related test on this site: the General Educational test.

Your score on our questions is an estimate of readiness, not an official result. If the free questions show a weakness in a domain the recall sets barely cover, that is the domain to start with.
