Fees for candidates outside the United States
- Non-members of NAHQ: USD 799
- Standard and CPHQ members: USD 559
- Premium members: USD 400
You pay by credit card online. Fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.
Steps
- There are no formal eligibility requirements; the exam assumes about two years of quality experience.
- Create an NAHQ account, apply and pay during the application period.
- You become eligible for that one window only.
- Schedule with PSI: online with a live remote proctor, or at a test center. You can reschedule within the window up to 48 hours before.
- Bring two valid IDs, one with a photo. Arriving more than 15 minutes late forfeits the exam and the fee.
Online testing
Online, there is no break unless you get an accommodation approved in advance, and after an approved break you cannot go back to earlier questions. You need a computer with administrator rights, a webcam and a microphone.
Results and retakes
- PSI sends your unofficial score report within 3 to 5 weeks after the window closes.
- You cannot test in consecutive windows; after a fail in the first window you can apply for the third.
- After 3 failed attempts within 365 days you wait 365 days. Each retake needs a new application and the full fee.
- The credential lasts two years from 1 January of the year after you pass, renewed with 30 continuing education hours.
