This plan is for the civil part (50 questions in 3 hours) and for anyone with about 5 weeks left. You must pass it together with the general part (90 questions), so book separate time for the general part; registration details are on the general part page. The five weeks
| Week | Focus | By the end of the week |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Structural analysis (7) and structural design (7): 14 questions | Finish shear and moment diagrams and solve a full rectangular concrete beam design without notes |
| 2 | Geotechnical (7), materials (4) and surveying (2): 13 questions | Solve a phase-relations problem, a bearing capacity and settlement problem, and a mix design problem |
| 3 | Water resources (7) and construction management (4): 11 questions | Solve a Bernoulli problem with losses, an open channel problem, and a critical path network forward and backward |
| 4 | Environmental (6) and transportation (6): 12 questions, then your two weakest topics | A mixed set of 25 questions in 90 minutes from weeks 1 to 4 |
| 5 | The full mock exam and review | A full 50-question, 180-minute exam, then your weakest topics |
Why this order
Weeks 1 to 3 go to structures, geotechnical and water resources, 28 of the 50 questions, so they get your best hours and longest sessions. Structural design sits in week 1 with structural analysis because design builds on internal forces. Materials, surveying and construction management (10 questions together) are added to keep each week between 11 and 14 questions. Week 4 covers environmental and transportation (12 questions) and then a broad review, and week 5 is the full mock.
Week 5 day by day
| Day | Task |
|---|---|
| 1 | Re-solve the five weakest problems from earlier weeks without looking at the solution |
| 2 | A full mock: 50 questions in 180 minutes without stopping, with only your calculator |
| 3 | Review every option in every question, right or wrong, and write the cause of each mistake |
| 4 | Your two weakest topics from the topic scores, ten questions each |
| 5 | Light review of formulas and units, then an early night |
After each session, log the questions you missed and the kind of mistake: a forgotten formula, a unit, or a misread question. That is your real review list.
